Lukas Graham, fronted by multi-instrumentalist Lukas Forchhammer, burst to international acclaim in 2015 with the release of their second album Blue Album and the smash-hit single ‘7 Years’, which went on to top the charts across Europe, including in Ireland and the UK, and number two in the US Billboard Top 100. Blue Album itself flew up the charts worldwide, as high as number one in Australia and Canada, number two in the UK and New Zealand, and number five in Ireland.
The success of ‘7 Years’ and Blue Album saw the band nominated for three Grammy’s including Record of the Year and Song of the Year for 7 Years" and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. The band followed-up on this success with the release of their third album 3 (The Purple Album) in October of 2018 alongside the project’s lead single ‘Love Someone’, which earned the band a BMI Award in 2020.
Earlier this year, following a five-year hiatus, Lukas Graham returned with the long-awaited release of their fourth studio album 4 (The Pink Album), which found Forchammer realizing his drinking had escalated to a form of self-medication, and deciding to come clean whilst also juggling the challenges of fatherhood, marriage and the death of his father.
