Get to shout out “RHLSTP!” like a proper cool kid as the multi-award-winning and perennially popular live podcast interview series in which comedian Richard Herring ("The Podfather", The Guardian) chats with some of the biggest names in comedy and entertainment tours this autumn.  Usually recorded in London’s glittering West End, RHLSTP is going on the road. The UK & IRE 2023 / 2024 tour will start in September and includes dates in Dublin, Birmingham, Liverpool, Leeds, Salford, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Brighton, Bristol and Cardiff along with multiple dates at the show’s spiritual home in London’s Leicester Square Theatre.

Richard Herring enjoys continual success as both a writer and performer and is widely known an innovator in the world of podcasts, so join the “King of the Internet” (Time Out) and “The UK’s online comedy pioneer” (The Times) as he chats with hilarious star guests at venues all over the country for improvised chat, revelations and big laughs.  Hosted by one-balled double-Taskmaster Champion, RHLSTP offers fascinating (many times national newspaper-worthy) insights into Richard’s guests over the hour of refreshingly frank and free flowing conversation and is the only podcast to always ask a question you never knew you wanted to know the answer to including: Ham hand or suncream armpit? What would you do with a time travelling finger? If you could go into a chrysalis and transform into anything, what would you become? Previous guests include Stephen Fry, Michael Palin, Katherine Ryan, Greg Davies, Dawn French, Miriam Margolyes, Stephen Merchant, Russell Howard, Romesh Ranganathan, Bridget Christie, Grayson Perry, Rob Delaney, Richard E. Grant (unreleased as a podcast), Charlie Brooker, Rose Matafeo, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Les Dennis, James Acaster, Richard Ayoade, Sarah Millican, Steve Coogan, John Oliver, Mary Beard, Michael Sheen, Jonathan Ross and Bob Mortimer. You can listen to all the 400+ previous episodes on Acast and iTunes. But it’s much more fun to see it live and hear all the bits that are too libellous and controversial to podcast. RHLSTP regularly gets a million downloads a month, has won four Chortle Internet Comedy Awards and is the only non-BBC show to win a Sony Best Comedy Award.

Approximate stage times as follows, doors open 7pm, Richard Herring and special guest Neil Hannon at 8pm, interval around 9pm, Richard Herring and special guest Tommy Tiernan around 9.20pm. We expect the show to be over around 10.20pm/10.30pm.

quote not-so-quietly becoming the best celebrity interviewer in the land… puncturing of the deferential norms of the celebrity interview… always good natured and very funny… what sets RHLSTP apart from the likes of Graham Norton or Jonathan Ross is the luxury of interviewing just one guest for an hour or more..
Edward Tew, The Guardian

Last year, Little Brown released Richard’s latest book, Can I Have My Ball Back?, a memoir about Richard’s experience of testicular cancer and what defines masculinity and "maleness" in society.
