Currently on a sold out tour of the UK playing the biggest shows of her career. She and her band have played at Manchester, London and Taylor’s hometown of Sheffield to follow after a trip to the US for her first shows as Self Esteem.
Last month it was also announced that Taylor will be composing the soundtrack for the UK premiere of Suzie Miller’s award-winning play Prima Facie, starring Jodie Comer who said “I am such a huge fan of Rebecca and everything she stands for - her voice, her words and her honesty. I can’t think of a more perfect person to compose the music for our production.”
Self Esteem was also nominated for the Best New Artist award at last month’s BRIT Awards and saw her grace the covers of Sunday Times Style and Time Out magazines.
Featuring the acclaimed singles ‘I Do This All The Time,’ ‘Prioritise Pleasure’, ‘How Can I Help You’ and ‘Moody’, Prioritise Pleasure is a remarkable step up from Rebecca Taylor’s 2019 debut Compliments Please and sheds light on important issues around female autonomy, comparison culture, self-doubt, heartbreak, sexual assault, comparison culture and self-accepatance, comforted and counter-balanced with an array of rhythmic flourishes that speak to the eclecticism of her experience and influence.
