The announcement crowns a record-breaking year for Skye, whose distinctive mix of soulful vocals, intimate lyricism and magnetic stage presence has made her one of the UK’s most compelling new voices. Over the past twelve months, she has achieved a string of landmark moments - becoming the first UK female solo artist in over a decade to see her first two singles enter the Top 20, while surpassing 117 million global streams.
Breakout tracks ‘Family Matters’ and ‘Hairdresser’ became defining anthems of self-expression, with ‘Family Matters’ (certified Gold) peaking at No. 5 and spending seven weeks in the UK Top 10, and ‘Hairdresser’ (certified Silver) enjoying a 14-week run in the Top 40. Together, they have cemented Skye’s reputation as a powerful new storyteller in British pop - celebrated for her smoky, soul-infused tone and raw emotional honesty.
